Single Board Computer (SBCs)

Single Board Computers (2.5" and 3.5" SBCs) offer the functionality of a standard mainboard in the smallest possible space plus additional functionalities required for industrial applications. The boards have long-term availability and are designed for a temperature range of up to -40...+85° degrees. The SBCs are equipped with high quality components and are usually designed for 24/7 operation.

In addition, many boards have the option of being covered with a protective lacquer, also known as a coating. The Single Board Computers are available either with a standard heat sink or with a heat spreader, which forms a flat surface and can be attached directly to the case.  This ensures that the heat generated is dissipated as optimally as possiblevia the case. This process is also known as conduction cooling.

In the industrial sector, mainly 2.5" Pico-ITX boards and 3.5" SBCs with Intel Atom, Intel Core i and AMD CPUs are used. In the digital signage area, mainly mini-ITX motherboards in the AMD, i3, i5 and i7 performance classes are used.
